WELCOME TO BAIS DEVEKUS

You’ve arrived at a sacred doorway, a space for healing, softening, and deep connection.

Bais Devekus was created with love and care for our Los Angeles Jewish community, a sanctuary to pause, to breathe, and to return to yourself, to others, and to the Divine.

At the heart of this journey is the breath.
נשימה and נשמה share the same letters because your breath and your soul are inseparable. Each breath is a sacred whisper of life, a quiet reminder that you are present, alive, and connected to something far greater.

ויפח באפיו נשמת חיים
“And He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” (Bereishis 2:7)

This is how life began, with breath gifted by Hashem. And when our time here is complete, it is with one final breath that the soul returns to its Source.

Your breath is not just oxygen it is access. It is the bridge between body and soul. To breathe with intention is to return home to yourself, to awaken your awareness, and to connect in Devekus.

Breathwork is healing.
When we slow down and breathe with presence, we begin to listen inwardly. The body the holy vessel for the נשמה holds the imprints of our stories, our emotions, our traumas. Through the breath, we unlock those spaces. We access what needs to be seen, felt, and released not to dwell in the past, but to heal, integrate, and transform.

This practice helps us confront what we’ve suppressed, honor what we've endured, and uncover what we need not only for our own growth, but so we can show up more fully for those we love, and more authentically before the Divine.

Bais Devekus is here to support that sacred work.
